BC Vienna’s coaching staff for the 2026/27 season is complete. In Assistant Coach Boško Bošković and Head Strength & Conditioning Coach Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Kukrić, 53-year-old Head Coach Dragan Bajić brings two long-time associates to Vienna. He will also continue to rely on Ivan Siriščević and Djordje Mirnić, who were already part of the coaching staff last season.

For 35-year-old Bošković, the move to Vienna marks the continuation of his collaboration with Bajić. The pair worked together at KK Sutjeska during the first half of the 2024/25 season. Bošković had been part of the club’s coaching staff since 2016/17, competing in the domestic league and the ABA League 2. In the second half of the season, the Montenegrin succeeded Bajić as head coach of the senior team.

FOCUSED ON DEVELOPMENT

Bošković arrives with nearly a decade of coaching experience at the professional level. He is also a member of Montenegro’s national team staff, with a focus on game preparation, video analysis, scouting and player development.

“One of the main reasons behind my decision was Dragan Bajić, whom I had a great working relationship with at KK Sutjeska,” Bošković said. “I was also sold on the club’s project and its goals. We have two high-level competitions ahead of us in the ABA League and a FIBA competition.”

With a completely rebuilt roster, Bošković said the immediate focus will be on growing together.

“We want to improve day by day,” he said. “A lot of the players still have plenty of room to grow. Our goal is to play tough and aggressive throughout the season and be competitive in both competitions.”

“PROFA” REUNITES WITH BAJIĆ

Kukrić, 47, known throughout basketball as “Profa,” will oversee BC Vienna’s performance program as head strength and conditioning coach.

He spent many years in charge of physical preparation at Bosnian powerhouse KK Igokea, working across the ABA League and Basketball Champions League. It was there that he first worked closely with Bajić. Their paths later crossed again on the North Macedonia national team staff, and the two will now continue their work together at BC Vienna.

Away from professional basketball, Kukrić is a full professor at the University of Banja Luka’s Faculty of Physical Education and Sport. His academic work focuses on basketball biomechanics, training theory and performance diagnostics.

SIRIŠČEVIĆ, MIRNIĆ RETURN

Ivan Siriščević has re-signed with BC Vienna. The 39-year-old knows the club well, having helped Vienna win the Austrian league-and-cup double as a player in 2022. He remained with the club after retiring and moved directly onto the coaching staff. Siriščević will continue as a strength and conditioning coach within the performance program led by Kukrić.

Assistant coach Djordje Mirnić, 28, also returns for a second season in Vienna. Both Mirnić and Siriščević worked with Bajić last season while he served as sporting director.
