BC Vienna will compete for a place in the 2026/27 FIBA Basketball Champions League regular season in Samokov, Bulgaria, from Sept. 14-20, 2026.

A total of 24 teams will take part in the two qualifying tournaments, with only two spots available in the group stage.

After receiving positive feedback from all participating clubs in 2025, the Basketball Champions League, host club Rilski Sportist and the Bulgarian Basketball Federation decided to stage both qualifying tournaments in Samokov again.

OPENING GAME AGAINST PROMITHEAS PATRAS

BC Vienna will open its campaign in the round of 16 against Greek side Promitheas Patras BC.

The winner will face either Glint Manisa Basket of Turkey or Kolossos H Hotels of Greece in the quarterfinals.

The tournament winner will qualify for the Basketball Champions League group stage and join Group F alongside Hapoel Holon of Israel, Cholet Basket of France and KK Spartak Subotica of Serbia.

BC Vienna must win four straight games to reach the Basketball Champions League regular season.

Only the winner of the qualifying tournament will advance to the group stage, which begins Oct. 6.
